Simply the Best BBCOR Bats

The BBCOR standard restricts the amount of trampoline effect allowed in a hollow bat.  Fortunately,  trampoline effect is just one factor that determines your batted ball speed.   In addition to trampoline action - bat speed,  the width of the sweet spot, and the impact location all contribute towards maximizing your performance at the plate.

Our engineers have spent the last two years working all the angles to get you the best possible bat that passes BBCOR.  The engineering may be complicated, but the logic is simple:

Minimum Swing Weight = Maximum Bat Speed

Bat speed is the single most effective way to hit the ball harder and further.   A lower swing weight, or MOI, allows you to swing the bat faster.  Combat used advanced computer aided design (CAD) tools to optimize the weight distribution of our BBCOR designs to get the swing weight down to the absolute minimum - that translates into higher swing speeds and higher batted ball speeds.

Trampoline Action Where it’s Never Been Before

The BBCOR rule restricts the amount of  trampoline effect allowed at the sweet spot, but it allows us to  make the sweet spot  as wide as we want.  Unfortunately it’s not easy to make a wider sweet spot.  Years of research into bat dynamics has allowed us to design the widest sweet spot ever – not just a little wider, several inches wider, so even if your perfect hits don’t go any further, your inside and outside hits will be better than ever.

Impact Location, Location, Location

There’s a reason why the head of a hammer is at the end of the handle - that’s where it’s moving the fastest.  The same simple logic also applies to a bat.  Extending the  sweet spot outboard allows you to hit the ball where the bat’s moving fastest.  Our bats have a dynamically tuned stiffness profile so you can hit further out without creating energy stealing vibrations. 

Put it all Together

So there you have it - minimum swing weight, a super-wide sweet spot and dynamic tuning that minimizes vibrations and moves the sweet spot outboard all combine to give the best possible performance while still remaining BBCOR legal.

This is not just marketing-speak, it’s a difference you can measure. Independent test show the batted ball speed of the Combat B3 to two of the most popular alloy and hybrid bats,  our sweet spot is wider, and that our batted ball speed is higher than either.
